David originally started Tax Matters, the predecessor to Beans in 2006 and has spent the last 2 decades building a successful business with more than 300 wonderful clients.
Coming from a corporate financial background, David has spent time in the Boardroom and on the shop floor. His approach is the same regardless of his client’s background. He takes the time to understand each client individually and deliver what they need for their situation.
With more than 40 years practical business experience, David’s knowledge of the UK tax system, coupled to his ability deliver straightforward, objective advice makes him a firm favourite with our clients!
A total enthusiast for his discipline, David is a big advocate of learning and is always happy when in a position to help develop members of the team.
Outside of work David’s passion for football has seen him coaching a junior team for eight years, as well as being an avid supporter of local professional and grass roots football. David is also an enthusiastic supporter of local charities and is trustee of the local citizens advice bureau and former trustee of the local Samaritans branch.
I’m originally from Portugal and I was born in Lisbon.
I have worked as a waitress during my teenager years back Portugal, I then decided to move to England with my partner and my older daughter when I was 18 years old.
I started to work as a self-employed cleaner in a partnership for 7 years and then decided to change my career and started my AAT level 2 qualification which I finished successfully.
When I joined the Beans team as an apprentice I decided to complete my business administration apprenticeship and now I have also qualified in my Managers diploma.
I have been a part of the Beans team for over 12 years now.
I enjoy the outdoors a lot, and like to go to the gym regularly and to practice outside sports like football just for fun, I am a bit of a football fanatic being born in Lisbon, and I support my home team Benfica.
